1. Our commitment
Neerby has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everyone who uses the Neerby app and to all content and conduct in it.
2. Neerby is for adults only
Neerby is a dating app for people aged 18 and over. Users must confirm they are 18 or older before signing up, and profiles with an age under 18 are rejected. Accounts that belong to, or appear to belong to, anyone under 18 are removed.
3. What is prohibited
- any content that sexualises minors, including images, video, text, drawings or AI-generated material;
- creating, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material;
- grooming — contacting or building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes;
- sextortion, trafficking or any other exploitation of minors;
- arranging to meet a minor, or using Neerby to find, contact or exploit minors in any way.
4. How to report
In the app, open the person's profile and tap Report, or report a specific message or piece of content. Describe what happened — reports about minors are treated as the highest priority.
You can also contact our child safety contact (see section 7). If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
5. What we do
- we review reports involving minors as a priority;
- we remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts involved;
- we preserve relevant information and report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the competent authorities and child protection organisations, as required by applicable law, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable;
- we cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
6. Compliance with law
Neerby complies with applicable child safety laws in the countries where it is available, and with the Google Play and App Store policies on child safety.
